“Part of Wullie’s boot is cut off. Image seems a bit soft. Could the sign on the post in background be taken off with clone tool? Nice colourful image. Shallower depth of field ?

Oor Classic

“ Again. Could depth of field have been shallower? This would have blurred people in background. With Oor Wullie character being black and white. Could the background have been desaturated?”.

Oor Sherlock

“a bit of boot cut off in image to left side. Nice and sharp. Could banners in background be desaturated? “

Home sweet home

“Love the colour popping in this image. Super sharp”.

Home is where the heart is

“Nice image of two people. The frame they are holding works well as colour popped. Sharp throughout”.

There is no place like home

“Another by this author that uses the colour popping idea to the picture frame. Works very well. Sharp throughout. Slightly cut off the hut roof to the left”.

Tvoroyri

“Red roof and door are really striking. The blue sky makes the image and I love clouds in a blue sky. Path and road leads the viewer right into the image”.

Kaldbak

“ Lovely wide view here using the flowers in grass as foreground. The dyke is a good break and leads the viewer into image. I like the clouds in blue sky. Very sharp and good depth of field”.

Sandavagur

Is that a spot of sensor dust to left side in sky? I may have been tempted to turn the camera slightly to take out the small section of a house on left. The red is striking. I know we can’t pick a sky but imagine if it had been a blue sky with a few clouds. It would have kicked the reds in further”.

Can I comment here that the three panelled mounted images were on one mount and so well wrapped in tape I did not want to open it to view images not through plastic.

Head and Shoulders

“The blue eyes are so powerful in this image. As are the red lips. The necklace helps fill in the neck area.

White Dress

“Slightly based to left in image. I like the closed eyes. Lovely and sharp with good depth of field”.

Nude

“Tastefully created. Well balanced sharp image and an uncluttered background”.

Aberdeen Storm 1

“I like the textured paper used. Also the monochrome look. A very powerful wave captured and frozen well. Textured paper gives a soft effect. I am guessing the original is sharp. Would be nice to see it.

Aberdeen Storm 2

“Sometimes , less is more. This is one of these images. Again on textured paper. Makes it look more like a painting. Good depth of field”.

Aberdeen Storm 3

“Third in this series and another super angle with the lighthouse to the side. I love the birds flying through the image. Again the textured paper works well”.

Welsh Foxhound More Fuss

“Lovely and sharp where it matters – especially around the dog’s eyes. I am not sure seeing a hand there helps the image. Also seeing trousers in background”.

Awaiting Instructions

“Sharp with good colours. The rider’s hat is JUST inside the mount. Always hard to control colours when there are patches of snow in the image to take into account . So well done”.

Human Hound

“Again. Nice and sharp. Good depth of field. The stray hand in the top right I find a bit of a distraction”.

Stormy Landscape 1

“Sorry, I am not getting this effect the author is trying to get over here. It looks more like an oil painting that a photograph to me”.

Stormy Seas

“Again, sorry. I am not getting this image. I am maybe too much of a traditional photograph type of hobbiest”.

Stormy Landscape 2

“I am so sorry. I find it hard to make a comment on this set. I see them more as oil paintings”

I

“Clever. Sharp image, that needs to be seen with the other two in the panel to get the message. Took me a minute and a scratch of my head to get it to dawn on me. Then I smiled.

Horn Beam Leaves

“Clever idea on a still life, really well put together. Maybe just cuts the left hand leave off a bit quickly as stem. Very Sharp and uncluttered. Plain background enhances the image. Colours just pop out at you.

Virginia Creeper Leaves

“continuing the theme with another sharp uncluttered image. Less is more again as I have said in past . So sharp and vibrant colours used very cleverly”.

Sycamore Leaves

“Best of the three images kept to the last in this three panels entry. Well balanced and sharp. Colours just pop out at you. Good depth of field and use of plain backing”.
